The conflict between two gangs in southern and northern Biskopsgården in Gothenburg has been going on for many years.
Now, another murder charge has been brought with suspected links to the conflict.
On July 4, a man in his 20s was shot dead outside an apartment building in Bagaregården. A 17-year-old boy was arrested a few hours later and is now being prosecuted for the murder.
Our understanding is that he either himself, or with someone we don't know, shot a man with eleven shots, which led to the victim's death, says prosecutor Per-Erik Rinsell.
A few hours before the murder in Bagaregården, two men were shot at in Partille, an incident believed to have led to the murder.
Both events are suspected to have a link to the gang conflict in Biskopsgården.
We believe that the 17-year-old carried out this act on behalf of someone in the network in southern Biskopsgården, while the victim had a connection to northern Biskopsgården, says Per-Erik Rinsell.
It's a conflict that has been going on for a very long time, 16-17 years, but is still active. It's completely incomprehensible, really.
