On Wednesday, the men's football tournament begins, and the day after, the women's Olympic football begins.

And in both premieres, there will be Swedish involvement.

Glenn Nyberg has been assigned the responsibility as chief referee in one of the two premiere matches for the men's tournament, both played at 15.00 on July 24. Nyberg will referee the match between Argentina and Morocco. At the same time, Uzbekistan will play against Spain.

A day later, on July 25, it's time for the women's premiere, and Tess Olofsson's.

The Swede has been assigned the premiere match between Canada and New Zealand. At the same time, Spain will play against Japan.

Both Nyberg's and Olofsson's premieres will be played at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard in Saint-Étienne.

Neither Sweden's men's national team nor women's national team will participate in the Olympic football this summer.
