Two Swedish citizens have been rescued by Nicaragua's fleet in the Caribbean Sea, reports the news agency EFE.
According to the information, the Swedes' sailboat was adrift after an engine failure. The rescue is said to have taken place on Friday, about 100 nautical miles northeast of the Nicaraguan port city of Puerto Cabezas.
The two Swedes are 68 and 54 years old, respectively, according to EFE. Local authorities are warning of impending thunderstorms and strong winds in the area, which is often severely affected during the Caribbean hurricane season.
