Two Swedes have been charged with attempted murder in Copenhagen on August 6, when a hand grenade exploded at a kiosk in the Østerbro district.
Two people were in the kiosk, but did not suffer serious injury. However, the explosion caused extensive material damage.
The two Swedes, a 24-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, allegedly received the hand grenade from a co-defendant 18-year-old Dane near Copenhagen Central Station and then drove towards Østerbro by car.
According to the indictment, the woman stayed behind the wheel with the engine running, while the man got out and cycled the final stretch to the kiosk on an electric bicycle. After disarming the grenade, he returned to the waiting car, which then left the scene.
All three are charged with attempted murder. According to the indictment, they had conspired with several accomplices to carry out the deed.
