People with a "non-Swedish appearance" were not allowed in – now the police are investigating a case of systematic discrimination at a nightclub in Malmö, reports Sydsvenskan.
A dozen cases have been reported to the police between 2022 and 2023. Two men who run the nightclub were arrested in early June and are suspected of unlawful discrimination.
They are now on bail, but are suspected of instructing the club's staff to stop people who are "non-white" or have a "non-Swedish appearance" from entering, writes the newspaper.
The investigation is ongoing, and according to the prosecutor, it is unclear when it will be completed.
