The murder occurred outdoors late one evening in June 2023 in the Kroksbäck area.
In film clips from the scene, relatives of the murdered person tell that the murder victim said the nickname of the one who stabbed him. The unusual nickname was linked to a 28-year-old man, who, among other things, has it as a username on social media.
The man was prosecuted, but has now been acquitted. According to the district court, it cannot be established that it is the nickname that is said on the clips.
The district court does not hear the same thing as I do as a prosecutor and the police hear. I think it's clear, otherwise I wouldn't have prosecuted, says prosecutor Jenny Olovsson to the magazine.
The court also believes that the investigation has not been able to show that there has been any conflict or financial dealings between the 28-year-old and the murder victim.
Jenny Olovsson has not decided whether she will appeal the verdict.
