A 25-year-old woman suspected of the so-called suitcase murder in the Stockholm area has been extradited from the USA and arrested in Sweden, according to Expressen.
The woman is said to have arrived in Sweden at the end of November and was arrested shortly thereafter. She is suspected of murder and grave desecration since a 37-year-old man was found dead in a suitcase outdoors near Gustavsberg in Värmdö municipality at the beginning of March.
The Sacramento Bee has reported that the woman fled from Sweden to her sister in the USA via Denmark, Germany, and Mexico after the murder.
In May, the 25-year-old was arrested in the USA and has been detained since then. The woman, who denies the crime, opposed extradition to Sweden.
Two other people have been arrested earlier in the case, suspected of grave desecration and gross protection of a criminal, according to Expressen. Furthermore, a 24-year-old man is wanted, suspected of involvement in the murder.
