Music journalist Fredrik Strage and economic writer Katrine Kielos are quitting their writing jobs at Dagens Nyheter, reports Dagens Media.

Strage has been recruited to EFN Ekonomikanalen, where he participates in the program "Mammon's Realm". Katrine Kielos has also been recruited to EFN, where she participates in the program "Global Economy".

Strage is thus taking a "pause" from his columns, according to Dagens Media.

High-profile employees get to choose whether they want to work with us or EFN, says editor-in-chief Peter Wolodarski, who doesn't think EFN practices independent journalism.

EFN is special because they report to Handelsbanken's information department, says Wolodarski to Dagens Media.

Handelsbanken's press officer John Zanchi reacts to the statement.

"EFN is subject to the Press Council, is run by an independent editorial team and is separate from the bank's business operations", he writes in an email to TT.
