Gower mausoleum, which is located on the celebrity cemetery Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, will be when it is completely finished, the highest mausoleum in the USA.
The building currently accommodates 20,000 niches for cremation urns (price from approximately 6,000 dollars, equivalent to just over 57,000 Swedish kronor) and 7,000 crypts (16,000 dollars, equivalent to 153,000 Swedish kronor, and upwards). Two of the mausoleum's floors are already sold out, according to CBS News.
Festivals, morning yoga and film evenings will also be arranged at Gower Mausoleum.
Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, which is located next to Paramount Studios, is the final resting place for, among others, stars such as director David Lynch, punk rock musicians Johnny and Dee Dee Ramone from Ramones, actor Judy Garland and silent film star Rudolph Valentino.
The new mausoleum has been designed by Lehrer Architects.
