There is a stop in train traffic between Uppsala and Gävle since 1 pm with large delays as a result. The fault is due to a downed power line in the areas of Storvreta north of Uppsala.

Traffic is now being diverted via Avesta and Krylbo, which means that the journey will take longer, says SJ's press spokesperson Dan Olofsson.

The sections affected by SJ's regional trains are Stockholm-Sundsvall-Umeå, Stockholm-Östersund-Duved, and Stockholm-Gävle-Ljusdal.

By 5:30 pm on Thursday, there was no prognosis for when traffic would resume.
