The trains to Borås, Malmö, and Stockholm are underway, says the Swedish Transport Administration's press spokesperson Angelica Knutsson to TT.
The first reports of a power failure came around lunchtime. All tracks were affected and according to the Swedish Transport Administration, long queues formed in the incoming train traffic towards the central station.
What was behind the power failure was initially unclear – but later it was established that a bird was the cause.
I don't have very many details. But it was a magpie and a power line that was broken, says Angelica Knutsson.
For the traffic heading towards Oslo, Karlstad, and Vänersborg, the prognosis is that the trains can start rolling around 18:00.
At the same time, the train stop is expected to affect traffic also during the afternoon and parts of the evening.
Yes, it takes time to catch up and start running according to schedule again, says Angelica Knutsson.
