"The Outsider's Class". This is the title of a new novel by philosopher Anna-Karin Selberg.

In the novel, Selberg tells, among other things, for the first time publicly about the rape she was subjected to by the so-called cultural profile.

In the autumn of 2017, Dagens Nyheter published an article where 18 women told about how they had been subjected to sexual abuse by a man with close ties to the Swedish Academy. In the wake of the revelation, the Academy would collapse and a Nobel Prize in Literature would be frozen.

"The Outsider's Class" depicts, among other things, the legal process that led to the cultural profile being sentenced to two years and six months in prison for rape in two cases in 2018. The novel will be published by Wahlström & Widstrand on September 6.
