This will be the first time Karlstad is in charge of the annual event that since 2008 has collected money for charity.
The theme of this year's collection will be announced in October and the involved hosts and reporters will be presented for the first time in November.
"Musikhjälpen" will as usual take over the entire Sveriges Radio P3 for a week and will also be broadcast live on SVT Play. Large parts of the broadcasts will also be shown on SVT2 and SVT24.
Last year's collection on the theme "Everyone has the right to survive their pregnancy" raised more than 60 million kronor. Then "Musikhjälpen" was broadcast from Sundsvall.
