Coote has been noticed during the fall for video clips where he spoke disparagingly about former Liverpool coach Jürgen Klopp and in another, he is alleged to have taken cocaine.
Newspaper The Sun reported some time ago that they had obtained a text message that proves Coote warned Leeds player Ezgjan Alioski during a match in 2019, since he had previously agreed on it with a supporter.
In a statement, the elite referee association (PMGOL) writes:
"After a thorough investigation of David Coote's behavior, we have come to the conclusion that his employment with PMGOL is terminated with immediate effect today".
Coote has been suspended during the investigation since November 11.
The English Football Association FA and the European Football Association Uefa are also investigating Coote.
