The final between Colombia and Argentina was marked by tears and panic before the match started.

Supporters tried to enter the arena unauthorized, which created great chaos.

Several people were arrested and injured in connection with the incident.

The final of the South American Championships, Copa América, became an organizational fiasco.

Before the match, several supporters tried to enter the final arena, Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, without a ticket, and the match was delayed by one hour and 20 minutes. Several video clips on social media show how supporters either jumped over or stormed the gates into the arena.

At the security checks, large crowds were seen pushing into small areas. Video clips of the incident are spreading, where panic-stricken crying and screaming can be heard from both children and adults. In the end, a railing gave way, and people without tickets poured in uncontrolled.

Several people were injured and arrested after the police were forced to intervene with the help of tear gas.

Once inside the arena, it was seen that people also climbed into the arena through the ventilation system, before finally making it onto the inner field.

During the match, security guards continued to search the stands for people who had entered without a ticket, writes Fox.

In 2026, the USA will host the World Championship for men.

The final ended 1–0 to Argentina.
