Twelve years old – but already a World Championship medalist.

The Chinese prodigy Yu Zidi was rewarded with a bronze after China finished third in the women's 4x200 freestyle. She is thus now the youngest in history to take a medal in the World Championship.

It's emotional, it's a good feeling, she said after the final according to France 24.

The Chinese has previously two fourth places in 200 meter butterfly and 200 meter medley in the World Championship to boast with and still has 400 meter medley left to swim.
