Sara Stridsberg and Anna Vnuk Can Receive Theatre Prize

Sara Stridsberg, Anna Vnuk – and Teater Västernorrland's production of Karin Smirnoff's successful novel "I went down to brother". It is the year's nominees for the theatre critics' prize 2024.

Anna Vnuk is highlighted for the performances "Anna Vnuk is the Bastard" and "I Sacrifice Myself". Sara Stridsberg is nominated for "Swindle" and "A Grave for Two: Antigone in Kolonos" – two, according to the Swedish Theatre Critics Association, "brilliant new plays".

For the theatre critics' children's and youth prize, Turteatern/Riksteatern's "Hundreds of Children in Wild Struggle" is nominated, choreographers Hugo Therkelson and Tobias Ulfvebrand for "Avig" and choreographer Dalija Acin Thelander for "Fields of Tender".

The theatre critics have been awarding prizes since 1955. The winners will be announced in January 2025.
