Russia has lost more than 70,000 soldiers in Ukraine during May and June, according to the British Ministry of Defence's daily update, reports Politico.

This is described as the largest loss on the Russian side since the full-scale invasion of the neighboring country began in February 2022.

The British Ministry of Defence links the losses to the Russian advance in the Kharkiv region.
