Robots, drones, and so-called glide bombs were used against the regions of Odessa, Kharkiv, and Kyiv during the evening and night, says Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj on social media.
In the Ukrainian metropolis of Kharkiv, a Russian air bomb has, among other things, struck a 12-story building, according to local authorities. Early on Friday morning, people were still trapped under the rubble.
At least 25 people have been injured, five of whom have been taken to hospital, according to Governor Oleh Synehubov.
The alarm about explosions in Kharkiv came at half past two, Swedish time. Several city districts are said to have been attacked.
In the city of Odessa, at least one person has been killed and nine injured after a residential building was hit in a Russian attack, according to local authorities.
The death toll has also risen after Thursday's Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia in Ukraine. At least ten people have been confirmed dead, reports the region's governor Ivan Fedorov. Among the dead are a one-year-old boy and his mother and grandmother, according to Ukrainian authorities.
A hospital and a residential building were hit in the attack. Over 40 people are injured.
