Last week, the Israeli military allowed Jordan and the United Arab Emirates to start dropping food.
In a joint statement, the Ministry of Defense and Foreign Ministry in Paris writes that several tons of food will be dropped over Gaza over a number of days.
The humanitarian situation is catastrophic in the area, according to the UN and a number of aid organizations.
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot said earlier in the week that France will drop 40 tons of supplies over Gaza shortly.
According to the Spanish Foreign Ministry, the country has dropped twelve tons of supplies over Gaza.
Foreign Minister José Manuel Albares calls the population's situation "a shame for all humanity", and continues:
"Israel must open all border crossings permanently so that humanitarian aid can enter on a large scale."
