Russia and Ukraine release 95 prisoners of war each, announces the Russian Defense Ministry and Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj.
95 Russian military personnel have returned and 95 Ukrainian soldiers have been released in return as a result of a negotiation process, announces the ministry in a post on Telegram.
The Russian soldiers will be taken to Moscow for treatment and rehabilitation at the Defense Ministry's healthcare facilities.
"All released soldiers are provided with necessary medical and psychological assistance," the post reads.
Volodymyr Zelenskyj states that for Ukraine's part, it concerns individuals within Ukraine's armed forces, national guard, and border guards.
"I am grateful to our team responsible for the exchanges and to the United Arab Emirates for mediating this release," he writes on X.
