Knee-injured Rodri has not given up hope of playing football again before the season is over.
"My goal is to come back this season. Mentally, it will be positive for me not to give up the season and throw it away", says Manchester City's Spanish midfielder in the podcast "The Rest Is Football".
Rodri injured his cruciate ligament in September and after the operation, City coach Pep Guardiola stated that the season was over for the 28-year-old. But if Rodri reaches his goal – to be back after six or seven months – he can be match-ready in March or April.
After winning both the Premier League with Manchester City and the European Championship gold with Spain, Rodri received the Ballon d'Or, the prize for the world's best player, in October.
