Spanish police have found remains in an area on the island of Teneriffa where they have been searching for a British teenager who disappeared last month.
According to the police, it is highly likely that the remains are those of the missing teenager Jay Slater.
Slater disappeared on the island after a music festival and was last seen in a village on the northwestern part of the island – an eleven-hour hike from the place where he stayed during his visit to Teneriffa.
The search effort has been going on for almost a month.
