Three more victims of the 11 September attack on the World Trade Center in New York have been identified, after nearly 24 years, according to American authorities.
Among the three victims are a 26-year-old man and a 72-year-old woman. The identity of the third victim, a woman, is being kept secret at the request of her family.
The individuals were identified through improved DNA tests of small remains that were found over 20 years ago among the rubble after the terrorist attack in 2001.
This means that the number of people who have been identified has risen to 1,653 of the total 2,753 who were killed in the attack.
