A fire broke out on Friday evening in a cathedral in the city of Córdoba in Spain, according to the city's rescue service.
According to newspaper ABC, a vacuum cleaner, which was stored in an adjacent chapel, is said to have caught fire.
According to the rescue service in Cordóba, the fire is under control, although not extinguished.
The cathedral is on UNESCO's World Heritage List. It was built as a mosque in the 8th century, when Córdoba was under Muslim rule. In the 13th century, the Spanish rule converted it into a Christian cathedral.
