Relatives of a 17-year-old contacted the police because they were worried.
Now, seven people, one woman and six men, are being prosecuted at Örebro District Court for, among other things, preparing to commit murder.
Six of them are being prosecuted for preparing to commit murder and serious weapons offenses, and one of them for incitement to prepare to commit murder, according to a press release from the Prosecution Authority.
Furthermore, five of them are being prosecuted for involving a minor in criminal activity. The person was 17 years old at the time.
It was relatives of the intended young shooter who contacted the police, which made it possible to stop this, says prosecutor Elisabeth Andersson to TT and continues:
This has occurred within a gang conflict and follows a pattern we have seen before where one hires a young perpetrator.
The incident occurred sometime between December 12 and 13 last year.
Four of the suspects are from the Stockholm area and three from the Örebro area, according to the Prosecution Authority.
All seven defendants deny the crimes.
