Ukraine has taken its first Olympic Games gold in Paris after winning the women's team sabre event.
The Ukrainian women turned a six-point deficit into a victory with 45–42 in the final against South Korea.
Olga Kharlan became a big hero with 22 points. She already had an individual bronze from the Games.
A year ago, Kharlan was disqualified from the World Championship, part of the Olympic qualification, for refusing to shake hands with a Russian competitor.
It could have cost her an Olympic spot. But the International Olympic Committee chose to give her a wild card to the Olympic Games, an unusual measure.
