An employee at the Port of Gothenburg has been notified of termination with reference to national security, reports P4 Gothenburg.

The employee, who denies all allegations, was informed on Monday morning that the employer Gothenburg Roro Terminals intends to terminate his employment. The company refers to "violations of the Security Protection Act and disloyalty related to the Security Protection Act" according to a press release from the Harbor Workers' Union.

"So far, we are still in shock", says the union's chairman Martin Berg in the press release. He does not want to make any further statements until they know "what the company is actually accusing him of".
