Together with the rider Peder Fredricson, the sailor Josefin Olsson was a flag bearer for the Swedish Olympic Games team at the opening ceremony on the Seine River in Paris.
Now the Olympic Games are over for Olsson. The tenth and final basic sailing in the Ilca 6 class (formerly laser radial) was cancelled on Monday in the waters outside Marseille and is completely eliminated. This means that Olsson, who took Olympic silver in Tokyo three years ago, misses the final medal sailing, where the top ten went.
Olsson finished in 17th place overall after nine basic sailings.
