The price development of electricity, electronics, and furniture is behind the decline.

In Denmark, inflation rose to 1.9 percent in December, up from 1.6 percent. Heating costs and electricity prices contribute to the development.

The figures come after the Statistics Bureau presented preliminary inflation figures for November last week, which showed that KPIF inflation rose to 1.9 percent in Sweden in November, up from 1.5 percent the previous month.

Inflation in Sweden halved to 0.8 percent in December, down from 1.6 percent in November, according to preliminary figures from the Statistics Bureau (SCB) earlier in the week.

The so-called KPIF inflation, where mortgage rates have been excluded, fell to 1.5 percent, down from 1.9 percent.
