This year, the bronze 25-year anniversary is celebrated and Linus Eriksson, CEO of Öresundsbrokonsortiet, points in a press release to the fact that commuting has increased by 9.7 percent compared to the corresponding period last year.
This is a long-term trend, he states. Road traffic on the bridge increased by 6.6 percent.
Together with reduced interest expenses due to falling inflation and reduced debt, the effect is a higher expected annual result for the bridge than previously forecast.
”Our financial result reflects the strong traffic development and increased market share. We estimate that the expected annual result before value adjustment increases to 1,600–1,700 million Danish kronor”, says Linus Eriksson in the press release.
