Six times Norway at the top. That was the result in the mass start over 20 kilometers in free style in Engadin.
The Swedish skiers were brutally honest after the race – the skis simply didn't meet the standards.
"It was a disaster"
I'm having a good day, I think everyone can see that. But this was probably the worst I've skied on in my entire life. It was a disaster. It's completely crazy, says Anger to Viaplay.
The 22-year-old Anger became the best Swedish skier on a 24th place, but was a whole 1.33 minutes behind the winner Johannes Høsflot Klæbo. Second place went to Iver Tildheim Andersen and Didrik Tønseth took third place.
It's just about taking it with you that the body works, then you have to learn from this. That's all. The coaches also know that, says Anger, who was second in Saturday's sprint after Høsflot Klæbo.
We had fantastic skis today, says the Norwegian in his victory interview.
Calle Halfvarsson became the second-best Swedish skier on a 34th place.
Something has gone wrong with the material today. That can happen sometimes, today it was extreme, says Halfvarsson and continues:
You have to let the others go downhill and then you have to fight your way back up. It works for a few hills at high altitude, but then it gets too tough.
"The World Championship that is most important"
Even Halfvarsson says that his body felt good.
I'm having a pretty good day. A few years ago, I would have probably broken down already after three kilometers, he says and continues:
This is a step in the process towards the World Championship, that's when I'm supposed to be in top form. I've had a troubled autumn and beginning of winter. It's just about forgetting this. It's not the end of the world. It's the World Championship that is most important.
The World Championship in Trondheim takes place on February 26 – March 9.
