Vulkan Kilauea on Hawaii – one of the most active volcanoes in the world – has had a new eruption in a remote area where the volcano last erupted in 1974.
The eruption began on Monday.
"The eruption is ongoing but is taking place at a remote location in the national park, has low eruption volume and poses no immediate threat to human life or critical infrastructure," according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).
According to the agency, it is not yet possible to say how long the current eruption will continue.
Kilauea is Hawaii's second-largest volcano.
