After the national championship gold with Södertälje, national team star Klara Lundquist is now leaving the champion club. The 24-year-old basketball guard is set to play in Spanish Girona, reports SVT.
Lundquist was the super talent who broke through early and was already named rookie of the year in the basketball league at 15. She has been a pro in both France and Poland, but both times she chose to move back to Sweden fairly quickly.
I feel more inspired and motivated this time. I feel safer as a person, both on and off the pitch. I think it's going to be great, she tells SVT.
Klara Lundquist was named "MVP" – most valuable player – in both the regular season and the final series this season.
