Several people have been injured after a dramatic bus accident in a motorway tunnel five miles north of Barcelona.

On board the bus were around 60 employees of the textile company Inditex, which operates the clothing chain Zara, among others.

According to the rescue service in Catalonia, three people with critical injuries have been flown to hospitals in an ambulance helicopter.

The rescue service writes in a post on the X platform that they had to cut free the driver who was stuck in the vehicle. One of the bus's tires is believed to have burst, which caused the driver to lose control of the bus.
