Over 20 people have died as a result of flash floods and strong winds that have caused flooding on South Africa's eastern coast, according to local authorities. Tens of people have been injured.
Flooding has affected two eastern provinces. In addition, two rare tornadoes have been registered and snowfall in some central regions.
More than 2,000 people have been evacuated from the Nelson Mandela Bay area, according to a local spokesperson.
Local authorities are appealing for donations of clothing, food, and blankets.
