At least seven Ukrainian civilians were killed in Russian attacks on Thursday and during the night to Friday, according to reports from regional authorities in the war-torn country.
In partially Russian-occupied Donetsk in the east, four people were killed and more than 20 injured, according to the region's Ukrainian governor.
In Kharkiv in the northeast, where intense fighting has taken place in the border areas in recent months, three people are reported to have been killed. The governor reports heavy Russian artillery fire against several towns and residential areas.
Authorities in the regions of Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, and Sumy have also alerted about Russian attacks on civilian targets, both with artillery and drones.
Ukraine's air force reports that Russia has launched an attack with aircraft that fired a total of five cruise missiles, as well as 19 drones of various types. Most of the projectiles were shot down and none of them are believed to have caused any known damage on the ground.
