In June, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) released a list of a total of 25 Russian and Belarusian athletes who were given the green light to attend the Olympics.

Now, an additional 39 athletes have received an invitation to the summer Olympics in Paris, the IOC announces. The new list of approved names included a total of 22 Russians and 17 Belarusians.

The list included names that will compete in tennis, shooting, and rowing. However, the athletes will not be allowed to compete for their countries.

Russia and Belarus are not allowed to participate in the Olympics due to the aggressive war against Ukraine. Instead, individual athletes will compete under a neutral flag. No Russian or Belarusian teams are allowed to participate in the Olympics.

The Olympics will take place from July 26 to August 11.
