It was at the end of May last year that Maria Malmer Stenergard, then Minister for Migration, bought shares in the Swedish IT and defense company Mildef for nearly 10,000 kronor.

Mildef has the Swedish defense as one of its most important end customers.

In December, the Swedish government and Denmark presented a billion-order for combat vehicles 90, where the company's IT equipment constitutes a component.

In total, the value of the company's share has tripled since the minister's purchase.

That an order for the combat vehicles was underway, and was being negotiated by the Defense Materiel Administration, was known before the minister bought shares in the company.

Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard herself does not think she has done anything wrong.

I want to be clear that I did not participate in the preparation. I have not had access to any other information than that which has been open to everyone, she says to Ekot.
