All parties have now approved a mediator and this means that talks will be held outside the actual legal process, says lawyer Ann-Christin Hemsedahl to the newspaper.
We are now only waiting for the district court to formally appoint a mediator, she adds.
The lawyer represents two siblings of the man who in 2023 sold the house to YouTube stars Lucas Simonsson and Carl Déman, who are part of the humor trio JLC.
Her statement comes ahead of a planned negotiation between the parties in Göteborg's district court next week.
The find – ten kilos of gold and four kilos of platinum – was made by craftsmen during a renovation of the house commissioned by JLC stars Simonsson and Déman. According to Göteborgs-Posten, the find, which is the subject of the dispute today, is worth almost 12 million kronor.
In addition to JLC stars, who own the house, and the craftsmen who found the gold and platinum, the seller of the house and their two siblings have made claims to the gold.
