In February, several players from Örebro Hockey received outstanding pension premiums.
One of them was Mathias Bromé, who is now leaving the club for Luleå.
"We have ended up in a situation where the relationship between Mathias and the coaches has become unbearable", says the club's sports manager Henrik Löwdahl to the club's website.
The twists and turns surrounding Mathias Bromé's stay or departure from Örebro Hockey have been many. At the end of the season, the relationship was so infected that the 29-year-old was dropped from the match squad.
Now, the forward and the club have finally agreed to terminate the contract. This despite Bromé having four years left on his contract.
"First and foremost, it is very unfortunate and a failure that we have ended up where we are now. The situation has become unbearable, and from that perspective, we have agreed that this is the best solution for both parties", says the club's sports manager, Henrik Löwdahl, to the club's website.
The parties have reached an economic agreement, and Bromé is leaving the club immediately.
"For my part, it feels clearly sad that we have ended up where we are now, but now we have found a solution that will be best for both parties. I have had four fine years here, where many in and around the club have meant a lot to me, and I would like to take the opportunity to thank all supporters and partners for all the support during my time at the club", says Mathias Bromé to the club's website.
Shortly afterwards, it was also officially announced that the 29-year-old had a new club address. Bromé has signed for Luleå, and has signed a contract that extends over the 2027/28 season.
