A man got stuck on Friday with his head in a log crane on a farm outside Trollhättan. It wasn't until a half day later that he could be rescued.

We managed to free the man relatively quickly, says Tero Paakki at the rescue service.

The man, who is in his 75s, was awake and able to talk but was taken to hospital by ambulance. His injuries are considered serious but stable.

Exactly what happened is a bit unclear, according to the rescue service.

He probably held on to something and got stuck with his head in the log crane.

The alarm wasn't raised until Saturday when another person arrived at the scene.

Today, Saturday, someone was supposed to visit. Then the man was discovered and the alarm was raised immediately, says Tero Paakki.

A report on a workplace accident will be filed, writes the Police on their website.
