The Allsvenska football club Malmö FF is starting a new school academy – on the Spanish sun coast. From the autumn, high school students at the Swedish international school in Estepona will be able to combine studies with a focus on football, writes the big club in a press release.
"It's an important step for us to expand outside of Skåne and Sweden, while still holding on to our concept and our values", says Niklas Skoog, academy manager at MFF.
The association has previously had 19 school academies, but this will be the first one outside of Sweden's borders.
