In the beginning of 2023, the police were alerted to a rental property in Malmö. In connection with the raid, the landlord's two dogs were found to have done their business indoors. He was given the opportunity to clean up, which he also did, according to the police.

During the following summer, the landlord became aware that the dogs had been left on the apartment's balcony repeatedly and that dog urine had dripped down to the neighbor's balcony.

When the tenant confirmed that he had left his dogs on the balcony, the landlord had had enough and sent both a notice of termination and an inspector to the apartment.

The man does not want to move and now the Rent Tribunal will decide the case.

The landlord's inspection revealed extensive urine damage on two balconies: "Obvious smell of urine" and "penetrations in the ceiling as well as drips", it states in the inspection protocol.
