At the latest on Monday, the crisis-stricken battery manufacturer Northvolt must pay 287 million kronor to the Tax Agency, confirms the authority to SVT News Västerbotten.
The amount is for the six largest companies in the group and it concerns VAT, employer contributions, and deducted tax.
If the company fails to pay the taxes, the company will be requested to go bankrupt – otherwise, individuals in the management risk becoming personally liable for payment, writes SVT.
Besides the money that should be paid to the Tax Agency, the pile of cases at the Enforcement Authority is growing rapidly. Last week, the debt amounted to over 120 million kronor in payment orders.
On Tuesday, Northvolt Ett Expansion, a subsidiary of Northvolt, went bankrupt with debts of 2-3 billion.
