The food company Protos is recalling lamb mince of the brand Smak av Gotland after salmonella was found in a limited batch. The mince is sold by the country's leading food chains.
Customers who have purchased the lamb mince in 500-gram packages with a best-before date of 17-07-2024 are advised to return the mince to the store where it was purchased.
Lidl also announced on Friday evening that it is recalling lamb mince of the brand Svea Lantkött with the same best-before date.
The food companies emphasize, however, that the risk of salmonella disappears if the mince is heated to at least 70 degrees.
