Russia says they need to understand what Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyj means by "peace meeting" before they agree to participate, says Kremlin's spokesperson Dmitrij Peskov to the Russian Defense Ministry's TV channel Zvezda on Tuesday.
The first peace meeting was no peace meeting. So it's perhaps necessary to first understand what he means, says Peskov following a statement by Zelenskyj on Monday.
During a press conference in Kiev, Zelenskyj said he believes that Russia should attend the next peace meeting, which will be a follow-up to the meeting in Switzerland in June.
I think that representatives from Russia should be present at the second top meeting, said Zelenskyj at the press conference, where he presented plans for a follow-up top meeting.
