The American celebrities continue to react to Donald Trump's election victory. When Jimmy Kimmel's talk show was broadcast on ABC on Thursday morning, Swedish time, the program began with Kimmel packing his bag – and explaining to his sidekick Guillermo that he had to leave the country now.
Kimmel changed his mind and started the program. But he had a hard time getting through his opening monologue. When he began counting up those he believes will get worse under Trump, he almost burst into tears when he mentioned illegal immigrants and the Ukrainian people.
On the other hand, Kimmel noted that it was a good evening for Russia's President Vladimir Putin and polio, the latter a reference to the fact that Trump has promised to give responsibility for the US healthcare system to Robert F Kennedy Jr, who is a vaccine denier.
Jimmy Kimmel has long been critical of Donald Trump in his talk show. When he hosted the Oscars in March, he joked about the ex-president, who had just criticized the gala on Twitter.
