To be called a rock legend is one thing, to get rock legend as one's official occupational title another. In the death certificate that heavy metal star Ozzy Osbourne's daughter Aimee Osbourne has submitted for registration in London, the father's occupational titles are described in three terms: ”Songwriter, artist and rock legend”, reports NME.
Osbourne was a pioneer in heavy metal with the group Black Sabbath but also had great successes as a solo artist. He was buried at a private ceremony with, among others, Elton John and members of Metallica among the guests. But the funeral ceremony was preceded by a public procession through Birmingham that gathered thousands of fans of different ages.
Just a few weeks earlier, Osbourne, who, among other things, suffered from Parkinson's, had given a rare and unique charity concert in Birmingham. The performance resulted in ”a ton of money” for various healthcare institutions.
