Close on the heels of Lady Gaga follow Bruno Mars and Kendrick Lamar. While Gaga, Mars and Lamar have been nominated in the heavier categories, Zara Larsson has to be content with a nomination for best choreography for the video for "Pretty ugly". There she competes against, among others, Lamar and Gaga as well as Doechii and FKA Twigs.
Blackpink's Rosé also has good chances of getting a prize this year, with eight nominations.
The gala is held on September 7 at UBS Arena on Long Island, USA.
